Boro Day: Otuaro celebrates Niger Delta Hero

The administrator of the presidential amnesty program (Pap), dr. Dennis Otuaro, paid tribute to the dear memory of the hero and the icon of the Niger delta, the late Isaac Boro, on the occasion of the celebration of the Boro Day of 2025.

Otuaro described Boro as an unusual and visual man of Ijaw who has dedicated his life to the struggle for equity, equity and justice for the delta people of Niger and the progress of growth and socio-economic and political development in Nigeria.

He observed that the altruistic service, the sacrifices and the legacy of the activist born in Kaiama remained the solid foundations for solidarity and defense supported for better living conditions for the people of the Niger delta.

Pap Helmsman said that Boro deserved to be honored and celebrated for the values ​​for which he was and died, in the interest of the people delta Ijaw and Niger.

He stressed that Boro’s results would continue to resonate in the history of struggles for the rights of minorities.

He said that the impacts of the main Freedom Fighter struggle were highlighted in the various government agencies established to face the peculiarities and challenges of the region.

Otuaro urged the young people of Ijaw and Niger Delta to be peaceful and coordinated in carrying out the commemorative activities for the celebration of Boro Day.

He also recommended young people to maintain the peace and stability of the Region in support of the renewed agenda of the hope of President Bola Tinubu and the unshakable commitment of his administration for the development of the Niger delta.

“On the occasion of the celebration of Boro Day of 2025, I greet the dear memory of Isaac Boro. Also greet his vision, courage, resilience and lasting inheritance of the altruistic service and the sacrifices for the Niger Delta region.

“He fought for an egalitarian society in which equity, justice and equity would have been the strong pillars of progress and development, as well as mutual coexistence.

“His struggle for better living conditions for his people was based on these principles and values. He cannot be honored and celebrated enough for his sacrifices,” added Otuaro.
