CEO of Ogun-Oshun River Basin, Ashiru, JCI Senator Award bags

The CEO of the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority, engineer (Dr.) Adedeji Ashiru, was awarded to the prestigious Senator Junior Chamber International (JCI) award in recognition of his contribution to the public service and the development of the community.

Ashiru received the honor at the top of the JCI Africa Middle East Senato Association held recently, where the leaders of the continent gathered to share ideas on transformative leadership and innovative solutions to the challenges of Africa.

Speaking shortly after the investiture, Ashiru described the prize as a motivation to intensify the efforts in the realization of impact -based projects.

“This recognition is an honor that will encourage me to do more for our communities”, said, recognizing President Bola Tinubu “for providing the platform” through his appointment to direct the authority of the Ogun-Oshun river basin.

Under the guidance of ASHIRU, the Authority has started infrastructure reforms and projects aimed at promoting a management of sustainable water resources, strengthening food safety and improving the means of subsistence in the States of Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Lagos.

The JCI Senator Award is considered the maximum honor that the international leadership development organization can confer, reserved for people who have shown an exceptional service and a commitment to social progress.

The recognition of ASHIRU, according to the observers, reflects its record of integrity, innovation and dedication to the public service.
