Champions League: Enugu Rangers beat Angola’s Sagrada Esperanca in Uyo

Nigerian champions Rangers secured a narrow 1-0 win against Angola’s Sagrada Esperanca in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second qualifying match in Uyo on Friday.

Substitute Kazeem Ogunleye scored the winner 12 minutes from time.

Rangers have now scored three goals in four games in all competitions this season.

The second leg will take place at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda on Sunday, November 22.

The aggregate winner will advance to the lucrative group stage of the CAF Champions League.

Meanwhile, another Nigerian participant, Remo Stars, was knocked out in the first round by AS FAR of Morocco.
