FIFA Ranking: The Super Eagles are third in Africa, behind Morocco and Senegal

Nigeria’s senior team is now the third best team in Africa according to FIFA, world football’s governing body, following the release of the national team rankings for the month of March, reports OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Nigeria closed the window in March with a 2-1 win over 24th-ranked Iran before drawing 2-2 with 64th-ranked Jordan in the recently concluded four-team invitational tournament in Turkey.

Despite the setback against Jordan, the Super Eagles scored enough points to maintain their position as the third best team in Africa, only behind Senegal and Morocco, respectively.

Globally, the Nigerian team is ranked 26th in the world, the same position it held last month.
