Chelsea has agreed an agreement for Lesley Ugochukwu to complete a permanent transfer to the newly promoted Premier League team of the Premier League, reports Owngoalnigeria.com.
Ugochukwu signed a seven -year agreement with Chelsea two seasons ago when he joined next to the Ligue French 1 Rennes. He could not enter the team that led to his loan season.
He spent the entire last season in Southampton making 31 appearances in all competitions, but he still did not do enough to convince Chelsea that he deserved a place in his team.
France Youth International received permission to travel for medical tests before signing a four -year contract. He played in just 15 games in all competitions for Chelsea and everything came in his season of debut at the club.
Ugochukwu, 24, is eligible to play for the national senior team of Nigeria, but has made it clear that he wants to follow an international career with France instead of following the footsteps of his uncle Onyakachi Apam, who represented Nigeria at the higher level.
