China to reveal the world’s first pregnancy robot powered by artificial

The innovative discovery that mimics the natural pregnancy process uses artificial uterine technology, the first “pregnancy robot” in the world is said to be launched in China.

Developed by a group of scientists and artificial intelligence experts, futuristic projects seek to replicate the characteristics of human uterus, allowing embryos to develop and grow in a controlled robot environment.

By monitoring the real time of the critical growth index, the artificial uterine system mimics the experience of the mother naturally by regulating the temperature, oxygen, and feeding.

At the World Robot Conference in Beijing, Project Leader Dr. Zhang Qifeng stated that the scientific basis was strong and that the next stage would concentrate on including technology into the robot for interactive pregnancy.

This discovery, according to experts, has the potential to revolutionize reproductive science and give couples who deal with infertility, premature delivery, or health problems with answers.

But this discovery has spurred ethical discussions throughout the world, with the contemporary questioning the ethical, social and cultural consequences of the “outsourcing” pregnancy to the machine.
