Club owners are looking for support for the Kun Khalifat FC NPFL campaign

The association of state club owners invited the state government and the Nigerians well intent on supporting Kun Khalifa FC while the team is preparing for its inaugural appearance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Telling to the media in Owerri, the president of the association, the head of the Kachi stove, described the club’s ascent as a historic, observing that the Kun Khalifa FC has risen from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the NPFL in just four years – the fastest progression in the history of Nigerian football.

The CEO of the club, Michael Ahamfelule, had previously had an urgent request for financial assistance, revealing that the team requires about 1 billion billion to meet operational requests for only one season.

The head of ATUUFUL, which is also CEO of Owerri Fitness Hospitality Industry, City Cruz and Malick Pro FC, stressed that the remarkable success story of Kun Khalifa FC should not be interrupted due to the financial tension.

“Kun Khalifa FC is not just a football club, it is a symbol of resilience and possibilities. We must all – government, company sponsors and individuals – make sure this team remains in the Topflight. This result belongs to IMO and Nigeria in general,” said ATUUFULhe.

The appeal adds weight to current requests for an urgent intervention to support Kun Khalifa FC while preparing for their first NPFL campaign in the 2025/26 season.
