The new signature of Chelsea, Joao Pedro, marked an incredible guardian while defeating Fluminense 2-0 in the first semifinal of the Club World Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Blues head, Enzo Maresca, gave Pedro his first start to the club after his arrivals from Brighton this summer.
The Brazilian repaid the faith of Maresca a goal in every half against his childhood club.
Fluminense thought it had the opportunity to back down one. But after the referee assigned a penalty against Trevor Chalobah, he was advised to consult the Var PitchSide monitor, where in the end he canceled the decision.
Chelsea will now face Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid in the world cup final this year.
The Premier League team will try to add to the UEFA Europa League trophy that won only last month.
