Owerri saw the nostalgia of football at its best while the legendary Emmanuel Amuneke illuminated the Dan Anyiam Stadium Practice Pract with a goal by the brand that sealed the victory for the World Best XI team in a match of novelties dotted with stars that celebrates the birthday of the pharmacist and ex-Footballler, Anderson “World Best” Anyiam.

The footballer of the African year of Caf once and the Olympic gold medal needed only 25 minutes to remind fans his left golden foot ,ising at home the decisive strike that attracted a fragous applause from the full crowd. His only effort delivered the World Best XI Team a memorable 1-0 victory over the Owerri Fitness Club (Ofc) in a game that brought together football icons, friends and family.

The celebrant, Anyiam, a former Ebedei FC player, Ekiti United and Bussdor United – established high in the margin, immersing himself in the atmosphere. In addition to his past, Alyiam proudly brings the cloak of his blood line as a descendant of Dan Anyiam, the first captain of the Nigeria national team, whose name embellishes the stage in which the story was made again.

The glitter of the day went beyond Amuneke’s goal, while a galaxy of stars embellished the field.
