Coach Zubairu releases the final list of 24 men for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations

The head of the coach of Abuja (Core Reporter) Aliyu Zubairu published the final list of 24 men for the Africa U20 (Flying Eagles) nations Cup) in Egypt.

Zubairu selected the first choice goalkeeper Ifeanyi Harcourt, the defender and Captain Daniel Bameyi, the midfielder Sulaiman Alabi Jojo and the striker Kparobo Arierhi between a team of 24 for the Cup of the Africa U20 nations this year who take place in Egypt. The tournament starts in 10 days.

The defenders Adamu Maigari and Emmanuel Chukwu (based in Germany), the midfielders Caleb Ochedikwu (based in Croatia) and Simon Cletus, and also the strikers Clinton Jephta, Divine Oiseh and Precious Benjamin (based in Germany).

The seven times African champions and two times classified by the World Cup will start the banks of Nigeria for Egypt on Sunday, where a couple of friendly games should play before the opening game of the competition against Tunisia in Cairo on Thursday 1 May 2025.

Three days after the clash with the Tunisians, the flying Eagles take the field against Morocco (also at Cairo) before completing their group phase experience against Kenya on Wednesday 7 May. All four semifinalists of the tournament in Egypt will piliate the African flag at the FIFA U20 World Cup this year in Chile, from 27 to 19 October.
