Coas highlights the importance of the keeping of the MGT registers and data for operational efficiency
Abuja (basic reporter) The head of the army staff (Coas), the lieutenant general Olufemi Oluyede, has highlighted the critical role of the effective registration and data management seal in improving operational efficiency, strengthening the strategic decision -making process and guaranteeing responsibility within the Nigerian army.
The Coas, which was represented by the Deputy Deputy Director, of the Nigerian Army Future Heritage and Future Center (Army), the major General Philip Eromosele, made the statement during the opening ceremony of the Department of the Military Secretary and of the Registration Seminary 2025, held at the disorder of the Officers of the Armed Forces, Abuja. He observed that the seminar reflects the commitment of the Nigerian army to advance modern approaches to the management of data and the keeping of the registers.
General Olyede explained that careful management of data and an efficient seal of the registers were vital tools for monitoring progress, identifying gaps and effectively dealing with emerging security challenges. He underlined the adoption of high standards, in particular in the storage of data and in the security of documents at all levels, as a key to guide efficiency throughout the Nigerian army.
By reducing the unwanted commitment of the army for his constitutional mandate, General Olyede assured that the Nigerian army remains resolute in safeguarding the safety and unity of Nigeria. He also engaged loyalty without flip flops of the Nigerian army towards the establishment of the Federal Republic and the President and Commander of the Armed Forces, his excellence Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his welcome speech, the military secretary (Army), the major General Everest Okoro, underlined that the seminar had to promote excellence in data management and in the keeping of the registers, in line with the best global practices and the evolving technological trends. He also expressed a profound appreciation of the Coasses for his exceptional leadership and a visionary guide in guiding the department towards his goals.
The seminar with the theme “actual data management and keeping the registers: a key element to guarantee a professional Nigerian army in a digital era” should last for 3 days.
