The High Court of the State of Ogun seated in Sagamu on Tuesday directed the former governor Gbenga Daniel to present the necessary documents requested by the state government.

At the hearing taken up the cause no: HCS/371/2025, Otunba Justus Gbenga Daniel and Anor against the governor of the State of Ogun and others, the judge OS Oloyede directed Senator Daniel to present his documents to the government in line with the request made to him and to other residents in the area.

OT Olatan (Permanent Lawyer and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice), which represents the Government, together with RB Kadiri (DCL), AE Odukoya and Wa Onawole have informed the Court that an interlocutory injunction and a counter-offance were presented in response to Daniel’s motion and served the consultant of the applicants.

The consultant observed that the issue was not matured for hearing and that the court was not inclined to take the question.

However, Ao Kotoye (San), with Ot Are and Ao Adeniyi for applicants have applied for the Court to extend the previously granted provisional order, which will automatically reduce after seven days.

The defense argued that the Court should order applicants/applicants to take advantage of the two -week extension announced by the government and provide the Ministry of Physical Planning with the necessary documents, which others have served with the same notices as they respected.

The judge Oloyede later asked the parties to maintain the status quo. He also invited the parties to explore the settlement options.

He also directed applicants/applicants to take advantage of the extension and provide the competent government agency with the necessary documents as required by the Government.

The consultant for applicants and defendants both agreed that the issues were updated to 13 October 2025.

As a result, the Court updated the matter to the date agreed by the parties for the hearing of suspended questions.
