D’Atigress went through Mali with a dominant victory 78–64, ensuring not only another trophy but also its seventh general crown of Afrobasket, a feat that no African nation has achieved. Musawa praised the incessant spirit of the team, calling them “models to follow for millions of Nigerian girls who now see themselves in the champions.”
