The president of the Dangote group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a bold and transformative leadership approach in the oil and gas sector.
Dangote, who made a courtesy visit to President Tinubu, praised the recent appointments at the Nigcl Nigger Nigerian National Petroleum Company, in particular, highlighting Bashir Bayo Ojular as CEO of the group and Mr. Ahmadu Musa Kida as non -executive president.
“I came to thank Mr. President for assembling a team of formidable and professional leadership at the NNPCL,” said Dangote, describing the appointments as a reflection of the strategic intention of Tinubu to guide the reforms through the energy scene.
He said that the new managers have the technical skills and managerial experience necessary to reposition NNPCL for operational excellence and long -term sustainability.
“The new management team says that the systemic challenges will be addressed and aligned with the vision of the president to build a 1 trillion economy of dollars,” he said.
Dangote, who is supporting the refinery project of 20 billion dollars, clarified recent relationships in the media that suggest a clash with the oil plant, observing that his comments were targeted for rooted interests and not the current NNPCL leadership.
“I am still fighting for the survival of my refinery project of 20 billion dollars. The cabins I refer to are the main marketing experts and oil traders who try to frustrate the economic reforms of the government, not the new NNPCL leadership that showed immense support,” he clarified.
He also praised the structural reforms in progress in NNPCL, describing them as signs of renewed attention to transparency, efficiency and responsibility.
“The caliber of people who now guide the NNPCL, combined with their deliberate reform agenda, strengthens hope for performance and professionalism,” he said.
Dangote reiterated the commitment of his conglomerate to support the economic model of President Tinubu and the widest vision of building a Nigeria based on energy.
He also expressed the trust that the new NNPCL leadership would have accelerated growth in the oil industry of the nation and promotes the trust of investors through the value chain.
The efforts to reach NNPCL for official comments on the meeting were not successful at the time of the press.
