Dangote Group has responded to the claim made by the claim of the former winner of Bbnaja Phyna about his truck hitting his younger sister, Ruth Otabor, in Auchi, Edo state.
The report said that Dangote trucks were involved in an accident that left Ruth Otabor, Phyna’s younger sister, with severe injuries, including one -foot amputation in an incident that occurred on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
This problem received a lot of attention when Phyna went down to social media to accuse the truck driver who was very hurting her younger sister, Otabor Bodon Ruth, in a collision at Auchi.
Phyna also accused the Dangote group to instruct the police to remove the truck number plate and questioned why the company did not prioritize visiting their sister first.
Dangote Group has now confirmed the accident and promised to offer full support to Ruth, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation, in accordance with the company’s welfare policy.
The report said that senior officials from Dangote Cement PLC, together with the insurance team, visited the scene, were involved with law enforcement authorities, and visited Ruth and his family at the Irrua Specialist Hospital, Edo State.
Dangote Group in a statement stated his commitment to Ruth’s recovery and support for his family during this challenging time, hoping he was cured and quickly.
“Following the new accident in Auchi, the state of Edo, which unfortunately resulted in an injury to Mrs. Ruth Otabor, senior official from Dangote Cement PLC, together with our insurance team, immediately visited the scene and was involved with law enforcement agencies,” the statement said.
