Dangote speaks after the truck driver hit Bbn …

Dangote Group spoke after their truck hit Ruth Otabor, the sister of Big Brother winner Naija Phyna, in an accident in Auchi, in Edo’s state.

The company announced it in a declaration issued on Thursday through its X account, after public indignation, and asks for justice for Ruth.

Wednesday 13 August 2025, Phyna turned to social media to ask her sister justice, who had amputated her legs because of the severity of the accident.

The actresses of Nollywood, including Kate Henshaw, joined Phyna in asking for justice for her sister in the last 24 hours.

Reacting to the news, Dargote Group promised full support, including complete medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with corporate policy.

High officials of Dangote Cement Plc and the insurance team visited the victim and his family at the teaching hospital specialized in Irrua.

“Following the recent road accident in Auchi, in the state of Edo, who involved one of our trucks, which led to an injury to Mrs. Ruth Otabor, high officials of the Cement Plc Dangote, together with our insurance team, promptly visited the scene, engaged with the police authorities and visited the victim and his family at the teaching hospital specialized in Irrua, the state of Edo.

“This action reflects our unshakable commitment to the well -being of affected people. We are ensuring full support for Mrs. Otabor, including complete medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with the social assistance policy of Dangote Group.

“Our thoughts remain with Mrs. Ruth Otabor and her loved ones, and we wish her a full and quick recovery,” he said. [Daily Sun]
