The oil oil refinery has clarified that the commercial relations of the company with its workers remain friendly as it does not interfere or limit their rights to unite freely with the legally recognized unions.

In a declaration on Friday, Dans not only reaffirmed compliance with labor and commitment rights for the well -being of employees and safety at work, but also described the claims of his monopoly as recycled falsehoods.

While reaffirming his adherence to both Nigerian and international laws, refinery has underlined that adherence to the union remains strictly a voluntary choice in accordance with the conventions of the Nigerian Constitution and the international work organization (ILO).

Thewill reports that the refinery declaration came to what described as a distortion of the facts by the Nigeria of Petroleum and Gas Natural Gas (Nupeng) union regarding commercial relations with its workforce. He rejected how false accusations according to which drivers were forced to sign contracts that exclude adhesion to the union.

The refinery also rejected the accusations of union repression as unfounded, observing them as part of a wider campaign to undermine the progress of the private sector. He advised Nupeng to focus on facing his controversy with petrolled drivers (PTD), rather than involving dance in his conflicts with unity.

“He is therefore out of place to attribute responsibility to the oil refinery of trade in the personal choices made by the drivers regarding union affiliation,” said refinery.

He claimed that he constantly supported the unions, including Nupeng, providing spaces for offices, operational vehicles for them inside the refinery and granting full access to their members and operations.

“The oil oil refinery maintains a friendly and cooperative relationship with all the recognized unions, including Nupeg. We have constantly supported their legitimate activities within our structure, including the supply of offices spaces and the collection of members of members without interference.

“We urge Nupeng to act in good faith, we respect the process of ongoing dialogue and refrain from making statements that could undermine the national efforts of economic recovery led by his excellence, the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

“As regards the pretensions of monopoly, we refuse them as recycled falsehood. The greatest concern lies in the inhales of those who have the means to invest in Nigeria, who instead choose to remain on the sidelines. In Dangote, we have chosen to invest courageously in the future of Nigeria and we will continue to do it.

The company also outlined the structure of its new fleet of compressed natural gas truck (CNG), including teams of drivers, engineers and logistical staff. Drivers enjoy compensation packages three times above the minimum national wage, together with group insurance, pensions, medical allowances, housing performance and access to housing loans.

Far from the fact that the threatening jobs are expected that the launch of 10,000 methane -powered trucks for at least 60,000 direct and many more indirect jobs, strengthening economic inclusion and reduction of poverty.
