A supporter of the Democratic Party (PDP) opposition Dele Momodu, has praised the President of Bola Tinubu for stopping the sealing of property in Abuja for unpaid land rent, seeing the decision as a clear demonstration of the leadership of the Tinubu company.
Earlier this week, the Federal Capital Region Authority, under the leadership of Minister FCT Nyesom Wike, sealed several business places in Abuja on May 26, quoting unpaid land leases reaching billions of Naira. Among the sealed property are banks, charging stations, inland federal revenue service offices, and especially, the National Secretariat of PDP.
The action of enforcing faces a strong reaction from property owners and community members, making President Tinubu intervene. He ordered the temporary suspension of sealing operations and gave a grace period of 14 days to resolve unpaid debts.
Reacting through his Instagram page, Momodu praised the President’s quick action and expressed relief that Tinubu had confirmed control over what he called a heavy Wike tactic.

” Thank you, President Tinubu, Your Majesty, Good Night, Sir. I have just read the news here in America that you have stepped into the problem of your disrespectful Minister of FCT, Mr. Nyesom Wike who sealed the PDP National Secretariat, the biggest rival of the ruling party, APC, and property from other default in Abuja today.
“Although no one has to forgive the non-compliance of the government’s obligations, the government must always refrain from the vengeful explosion such as the most wordy Nigerian politicians that I am sure of your government quickly. The decision to stop today’s wike reaches several points for you.”
Momodu is very criticizing the Wike approach, describing it as a vengeful and arrogant. He accused the Minister of FCT of acting as if he had no accountability to anyone.
He also took the opportunity to urge President Tinubu to curb activities that interfere with Wike at Rivers State, where Wike has been involved in a prolonged political feud with Governor SIM Fubara.
He added, “We used to think we had two presidents in Nigeria, Tinubu and Wike. Now, we know that Wike has a boss that can make his excess. How I hope you have stopped the disruption and disturbances of the SIM Fubara government in the Rivers state and saved these letters from this unfortunate device called an emergency.
“Nigerians are currently experiencing so many difficulties and pain, and you need to save them from the burden and insulting of additional wikes. The task of Wike is much smaller than Minister Dave Umahi, but the man is so humble while Wike made the Nigerian subject to his tautological press conference as if he ran the federal government himself and not under anyone’s control.
“Sir, there’s no way there are two captains on one ship, and I hope Wike gets the message hard and clearly from your strong intervention today.”
