The Defense headquarters declared that it had started an investigation into an explosion of bombs that occurred on Saturday at the Defense Industries Corporation of Nigeria (Dicon), Kaduna.
This was contained in a declaration issued by the director, defense information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Saturday in Abuja.
Gusau said that the accident led to the death of a staff member while others reported injuries.
He said that the explosion took place during the destruction of expired devices of devices, including ammonium nitrate, primer hoods, propellers and other dangerous substances.
According to him, the wounded were receiving care at the reference hospital of the Nigerian army, Kaduna.
Gusau said that the head of the defense staff, General Christopher Musa, commensurate with the deceased’s family and wished the rapid wounded recovery.
He assured the public that the situation was under control and did not represent any threat to the surrounding communities, adding that Dicon maintained severe operational security standards.
“The DHQ ordered an in -depth investigation to ascertain the immediate cause of the accident and to prevent an anniversary,” he said.
