Dikko transmits the condolences of Tinubu to Kano State Govt for a tragic accident
The President of the National Sports Commission (NSC) of Kano (NSC) Mallam Shehu Dikko Tuesday 3 June, formally visited Kano State to transmit the condolences of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government to the Government of Kano.
As soon as he returned from London, where he was a special guest at the final of Unity Cup and held strategic meetings to facilitate domestic sports in the nation, a visibly shaken Mallam Dikko headed directly to Kano upon arrival in Nigeria and was welcomed by the deputy governor of the Commission of State. Aminu Abdulsallam Gwarzo as governor was away for Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
The deputy governor was achieved by the secretary of the state government Umar Farouk Ibrahim, head of the service, commissioners, officials of the Kano State Sports Commission and other best government officials. Even the governor of his excellence Abbar Kabir Yusuf has transmitted his appreciation from Saudi Arabia.
Dikko visited the families of the athletes who died in various places in the city before visiting the nine athletes who recover the Murtala Muhammed hospital.
He took the opportunity to transmit the condolences of the President and the Federal Government and the entire Nigeria to the families and athletes in mourning echoing while echoing the support without cutting the federal government for them in these very difficult times.
Speaking later, Mallam Dikko expressed the commitment of the Commission in supporting the families and athletes who go.
His words: “The NSC on behalf of the Federal Government was offered to interface with the state government to develop an adequate picture to support the families of the dead and also the correct rehabilitation of the survivors. This injury is for everyone.
“I had to take the short of my trip to the United Kingdom, where I was holding strategic meetings to enhance our domestic sports to go down and visit the people of Kano. By going forward, the need for greater safety and well -being of the participating athletes before, during and after important sporting events, will now become increasingly current.
Thanking the president of the NSC, the deputy governor expressed the appreciation of the state to President Tinubu and the federal government for their concern and their continuous support. He expressed joy for the commitment of the NSC in involving the state and work in collaboration to provide the necessary rescue to families.
A representative of the families who welcomed the president of the Mosque of the community led by the Head of Imam expressed their gratitude to the president for his concern show.
The president of the NSC was accompanied by the director of the NSC of the Finance and Administration Alamin Mustapha, director of the Muhammed Rabiu structures, director of special functions, audits of the directors and special senior assistant in special duties and protocol for the president, honorable Ahmed Muazu Kawu.
