D’IRDRESS Now ranks the 8th best team in the world

Nigeria’s d’Mrress has moved to the eighth place in the latest Fiba women’s world ranking, up from the previous 11th position.

The rise appeared behind their victory at the Afrobasket Women’s Championship last month at Ivory Coast, where the Rena Wakama team won the fifth title in a row by defeating Mali 78-64 in the final fought for strictly.

This victory also made Nigeria a place in the Fiba 2026 women’s basketball world cup in Berlin, Germany.

D’W Ivress remains the top ranking team of Africa, with Mali following in the 18th place in the world ranking.

The United States continues to lead a global ranking, in front of Australia which is in second place, while France, China and Belgium completed the top five.
