D’Mrress from Nigeria claimed a 60-55 sandy victory over the persistent Mozambik team in their second group D match in 2025 FIBA Afrobasket on Monday in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Nigerian women have bounced off their campaign with a 92-45 victory over Rwanda in the opening match.
The victory secured D’Hrtresses in the quarter -finals and stretched out for their unbeaten in the competition to 26 matches.
Playing at the Palais Des Sports de Treichville, D’W Ivress rose from the first round deficit 28-24 with a performance in a strong second half.

They narrowly won the third quarter of 18-15 and sealed victory with another 18-12 running in fourth.
Murjanatu Musa led all goal scorers with 19 points, while Top Mozambik player, Leia Dongue, finished with 11.
Although struggling from outside the bow-only with 13.04% of their three points compared to 20% mozambic-there is no grit of their trademark, changing waves with a 12-0 key run in the third quarter.
Win placed D’W Ivress at the top of Group D and gave them direct qualifications to the quarter -finals.
D’W Ivress aims for the fifth Afrobasket Crown in a row and their seventh whole, only followed Senegal, which has won the tournament 11 times.
