Disruption of Kwam 1 Airport which is comparable to terrorism in many countries

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has strongly condemned the new Fuji Legend of Wasiuu Ayinde, known as Kwam 1, describing his behavior at the airport as a behavior that, in many countries, can be classified as terrorism.

Speaking at Arise TV on Sunday, Director of Public Affairs and NCAA Consumer Protection, Mike Achimugu, blamed the singer for allegedly disturbing the actions of ValueJet flight.

“Your first responsibility at the airport is respect and comply with instructions from officials on land. Passengers (Kwam 1) have not done so,” Achimugu said.

“What he did in most climate was considered terrorism. You cannot stop the aircraft so as not to take off. No one forgives it.”

Achimugu stated that NCAA would investigate how Ayinde accessed a limited area where disturbances occurred, adding that all found guilty would face sanctions. Investigations will involve the Authority of Federal Nigeria Airport (FAAN), Aviation Security Services (AVSEC), and Nigeria Air Air Management Agency (Name).

“Is the air traffic control cleaning the pilot to fly to see that it is not safe for him to continue? All of these questions will be answered during the investigation,” he said.

On August 7, NCAA submitted a petition to the Attorney General Federation (AGF) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the incident, accusing violations of Nigerian civil aviation regulations.

Authority has placed Kwam 1 on the list of flight ban while waiting for conclusions from the investigation.
