Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has advised men to speak about their emotional struggles rather than suffer in silence, amid a marital controversy involving media personality Frank Edoho.
In messages shared online, Dakolo encouraged men to openly express their pain, frustration and emotional struggles, and emphasized that bottling things up can be dangerous. According to him, many people are secretly experiencing difficult situations and need a safe space to talk.
The singer stated that society often expects men to remain strong at all times, even when they are hurting internally. He warned that suppressing emotions can have devastating consequences, and added that vulnerability should not be seen as weakness.

“Brothers, don’t die in silence, speak how you are,” wrote Dakolo.
He further added, “I would rather see you crying than in a coffin. Had I known, there would be no point in praying.”
Dakolo’s comments have sparked conversations online about mental health, marital struggles and the pressures men face in relationships. Many social media users agreed with her message, while others stressed the importance of emotional support and honest communication in marriage and relationships.
