Dr. Object Ezekwesili celebrates songwriters

The songwriters are not celebrated as they should and yet the words they put together can be what slows our souls in times of pain. We see the artists (who often could not be the writers of the songs) sing and pour all the praises about them. Of course, praise deserve.

But I want to start my week by celebrating all the songwriters who witness our spirits with the significant words that have inspired inspiringly to create profound connections that speak to our mood and help us keep together.

Ever since I received the news of the disappearance of a loved one amply elderly yesterday, I sang a legendary song by Hillsong- “Oceans (where the feet could fail)” and I still woke up playing in my spirit.

โ€œYour grace abounds in the deeper waters

Your sovereign hand will be my guide

Where the feet can fail and fear surrounds me

You have never failed and you will not start now

So I will invoke your name

And keep your eyes over the waves

When the oceans get up

My soul will rest in your embrace

Because I’m yours and you are mine, oh

And you are mine, oh

The spirit guides me where my trust is without borders

Let me walk on the waters

Wherever they call me

Take me deeper than my feet can ever wander

And my faith will be made stronger

In the presence of my savior “

Lord, please grant your mercy and grace to songwriters: Joel Houston / Matt Crocker / Salomon Lighthelm and others like them all over the world.

Dear Lord, please, from profoundly comfort to all those who decorate today, dear sir! Give them the opportunity to continue to trust your love even in difficult moments of pain. You grant them your rare peace that exceeds all human understanding that only you can give.
