DSP Barau Hails President Tinubu to absent at the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo Bill
Abuja (basic reporter) The vice -president of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking the bill by converting the Federal Polytechnic Kabo to the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo, Kano State.
The correspondences of the president for the establishment of three universities of Kano, Akwa Ibom and Oyo were read on the Senate floor during Tuesday’s session chaired by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, Gcon.
The vice -president of the Senate, who sponsored the bill on the conversion of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo to the Federal University of Science and Technology, said that development reflects the president’s incessant research to improve access to higher education and to accelerate the development of the country by providing the skills necessary for young Nigerians.
Senator Barau, in a declaration of his special councilor for the media and advertising, Ismail Mudashir, described education as sine qua not for the development of all companies.
“As we all know, young people are the cornerstones of the development of all societies. The conversion of the Polytechnic to the University of Science and Technology aligns the best global practices. We have a vast population of young people in this country and in the contemporary world, the development of human capital is important to provide national economy and development.
“On a global level, the disciplines related to tics and scientific, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, IT security and so on, are on the front burner. It is through this type of institution that we can train our young people in these fields,” he said.
However, basic journalists report that DSP Barau congratulated the direction, staff, students and communities of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo in this development.
