D’Tigress to play three warm-up matches ahead of Paris Olympics

Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, will be involved in three warm-up matches in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Olympics are scheduled to take place between July 26 and August 11 in Paris.

D’Tigress recently traveled to begin their pre-Olympic training camp in Saarbrucken, Germany.

This was revealed by Making of Champions via their X account.

The team will face Germany on July 19 and Serbia in the next three days to test their skills ahead of the multi-national sporting event.

Defending champions Afrobasket will then end their camp with a final warm-up match against Japan on July 24 before heading to the Olympics in Paris.

“Nigeria will play three friendlies, the first against Germany on July 19, then Serbia (21) and end the camp with their final friendly against Japan on the 24th,” the post read.
