Dutsoho states that the NPA is engaged in the efficiency of ports for sustainable export performance
The CEO (MD), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dutsoho has commissioned his team to renew his commitment to the continuous improvement of Port’s efficiency who said that he provided the backbone for the positive export performance that Nigeria has recorded so far in the subsequent quarters of the year 2025.
He made the call while speaking during the NPA management withdrawal recently ended in the state of ominous spinners.
Dutsoho said that the NPA was proud of the excellent work done by the Nigerian export promotion advice as evident in the increase in export numbers that passes through the NPA platforms.
However, he said that the NPA will not be based on his oars but will have to engage in a paradigm of continuous improvement of port operations and the provision of services that poses a high prize on sustainability issues.
Dutsoho said: “minimize the environmental impact through eco-compatibility, the promotion of social responsibility and the guarantee of long-term economic profitability are the drivers of global progress and we cannot afford to be left behind. We owe posterity a duty to instill sustainability paradigms in the way we do things”.
The retreating theme “repositioning the Nigerian port system for sustainability” focused on the revision and optimization of operational processes to improve the provision of the service.
The NPA management team has undertaken a re-engineering of business processes to identify and face bottlenecks and inefficiencies, guaranteeing a more focusing approach to the customer.
He also signed a performance bond, strengthening his commitment for operational excellence and reaching the priorities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as directed by the honorable Minister of the Navy and Blue Economy, AdoGboyega Oyetola.
