Florence Nwaeke, wife of a former head of service in the state of spinners, George Nwaeke, asked for help where her husband was following her resignation.
Speaking with journalists last Friday, he expressed fears for his safety, stating that he had not been able to reach him.
“When he arrived in Abuja, he called that he had landed. I said,” Thanks to God, “he said.
However, he said that he later saw an online interview granted by his husband, who found suspicion.
“I said:” She is not my husband. She is not my husband. “
“So I sent him a message. I said:” Are you under coercion? “I sent him a message. This is the message I sent to him when I saw his online interview,” he said.
He added: “Oh, Jesus, help me. Nigerians, help me. My husband is in trouble. My husband is in trouble. My husband is in trouble. My husband is in trouble. Look at the message I sent him. See the message I sent him. I said: ‘Dad, why? You were hostage?’ I said: “Why didn’t you talk to me?”
But reacting, George Nwaeke denied the statements by his wife, Florence, who was kidnapped, stating that he is safe in Abuja and voluntarily reported to the security agencies.
In a video released early on Saturday, Nwaeke rejected his wife’s statement as false, suggesting that he had been missed.
“I am in Transcorp Abuja. I arrived this morning from Port Harcourt to meet the safety agencies and report alone, as well as the worrying events that occur in the state of sparrows. I resigned from the head of the service on Monday because of these developments,” he said.
“I just saw a video of my wife trend. She was told that I had been kidnapped and given a script to read. I want to clarify – I am not kidnapped. I am in Abuja, to work.
“When I was in charge of the service, my wife was not involved in my official duties. That script that read is nothing. I am sure and solid. I will refer to the appropriate security agencies because Abuja hosts their headquarters and I feel more secure making my relationship here.”
Previously, Nwaeke had accused the suspended governor Siminalayi Fubara of planning to support the governor of the state of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed, for the presidency of 2027 and to encourage the militants to attack the oil structures.
He also accused Fubara of ordering the bombing of the State House of Assembly in 2023 to prevent his impeachment.
