Police agents in Nasarawa have rescued a three-day-old baby kidnapped in Nasarawa State.
Operators also arrested two suspects in connection with the crime.
This was stated by the Spokesperson for the State Police Command, Ramhan Nansel, in his statement in Lafia, Friday.
He said: ” At 5:45am, March 29, a kidnapping report was received from one Aisha Basa, a resident of Ungwan Bako, Orange Market, Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, aged 19 years.
The mother said that her husband, Abubakar Isah, a commercial tricycle rider (Keke Napep), had traveled to Lagos on business about five months earlier.
“She reported that on Saturday, March 28 at around 11.50pm, while she was sleeping with her three-day-old baby, at her house located in the suburb of Unguwan Bawa, Orange Market, two unknown men entered the house, threatened her and kidnapped the baby to an unknown destination.

“Upon receipt of the report, Shettima Jauro-Mohammed, Commissioner of Police directed Mararaba ‘A’ Division detectives to immediately visit the scene of the incident, and ordered a full scale investigation into the incident.
“Acting on credible intelligence, police officers on April 3, 2026 at approximately 4:00 a.m. arrested two suspects.*
The spokesperson said the suspects were Furera Abdulrahman (35) and Sadiya Abdullahi (39).
