Edo Killings: Revenge is not the next thing – north can

The Nigerian Christian Association (CAN), in 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Region (FCT), has appealed that revenge is not the next thing that must be done as condemned in strong terms, this new terrible murder of sixteen north in Uromi, Edo state.

The criticism was contained in the message of Goodwill Fitri-El Salah-El Salahwill signed by the chairman, Rev. Dr. John Joseph Hayab and Secretary, Bishop Mohammed Naga, to conduct Felicitate with Muslims in Nigeria and throughout the world about the success of the completion of Ramadhan 2025 and the Eid-El-Fitr Celebration.

Northern can state that, “This spiritual activity is important and beneficial for everyone who is loyal, especially those who embrace the teachings as ordered in the Scriptures.”

Northern can also express sadness and sadness when the country mourns the murder of 16 travelers in Uromi, the state of Edo emphasized that, “The pain and sadness of their families and beloved people must survive unbearable, and we can only imagine the depth of their suffering. May God provide comfort, strength, and easing so far.”

He added that, “This acts of vicious violence are stains of our collective humanity, and can condemn it in the strongest. Brutal taking of innocent life is a tragedy that must unite us all in our anger and our determination to ensure that justice is served.

“As Christians, we stand in solidarity with their families, acknowledged that this acts of violence are not only attacks on any region but in our common humanity,” he added.

Northern can emphasize that, “At the time of this unimaginable pain, we pray for peace and calm to be restored and to end violence and bloodshed in our country.

“We pray for the healing of our land, to rebuild the trust and understanding between people from various religions, and for the protection of all Nigerians from danger. We cry with you, we grieve you, and we pray with you to end this unreasonable violence,” he added.

North can emphasize that, “To the family and close relatives of the victims, we convey our deepest and most sincere condolences. We can only imagine the depth of your pain and sadness, and we pray that God gives you the strength and courage to bear this unbearable loss. The memories of the people you love become blessings for you, and hopefully there is no in their chaos.

He added that, “When we lamented the loss of innocent lives, we begged those who called for a reverse reaction to reconsider their actions. Revenge was not a solution but a recipe for chaos and further destruction. Is an innocent person who will suffer again, and the cycle of violence will only continue to worse.”

“Furthermore, we condemn the stereotypes and generalizations that seek to Demonize nigerians based on the actions of a few. Nigerians must be in unison to reject such stereotypes and generalizations, whether based on religious, ethnic, ethnic, ethnic, ethnic, ethnic, ethnic, or regional grounds. According to Northern Can, “It is very important for them to take direct and transparent action to bring the perpetrators to the court. When we move forward, we urged all Nigerians to join us in the pursuit of peace, justice, and harmony.”

“In conclusion, we strongly believe that strengthening our judicial system to ensure fast and fair punishment for perpetrators of crime is very important for eternal peace in our country. By doing that, we can break the cycle of violence and create a safer and more just society for all Nigerians,” he concluded.
