EFCC has delivered to 753 housing units recovered to the Ministry of Accommodation – Thage

The executive president of the Commission for economic and financial crimes, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede on Tuesday 20 May 2025, delivered 753 units of houses recovered by the Commission in the plot 109 Cadastral Zone C09, district of Lokogoma, Abuja at the Ministry of Accommodation and Urban Development.

The property, measuring 150,500 square meters and containing 753 units of Duplex and other apartments, was recovered on the basis of a final decline granted by judge Judo Onwuegbuzia of the territory of the federal capital, FCT, Abuja of the high court on Monday 2 December 2024

During the delivery of the property, Olukoyede reiterated the commitment of the FCC to manage the methods of recovery and disposal of responsible activities, underlining that these gestures have the purpose of “demonstrating to the Nigerians that whatever the crime we have recovered again”.

He also stressed that “it is important for us to underline to the Nigerians that the fight against corruption can work and we can really make it work and one of the key factors that actually pushes the impact of the struggle is the need for us to guarantee that those who have stolen our Commonwealth are not authorized to enjoy the proceeds of the crime. So one of the critical factors of our works is that we ensure the processes of the crimes”

He applauded the position of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the fight against corruption, stating that the delivery of the property has reported the gravity of the government to the fight against economic and financial crimes and other corruption acts.

The delivery took place in a brief ceremony at the Ministry of the Ministry of Mabushi, Abuja. The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Daniwa, praised the EFCC for his commitment supported for the recovery of activities and anti -corruption. He also said that delivery was a “significant milestone in our collective efforts and determination to ensure that the recovered activities are put in productive use in ways that directly benefit the Nigerian people”.

DANSIWA has ensured that the Federal Ministry for Housing Building and Urban Development will lead a joint family -family tour tour, together with the FCC to adequately access the structural state of the property
