EFCC Re-Arraigns ex-NSA, Dasuki, 3 others for alleged N33.2BN fraud

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday directed the former national security advisor, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (RETD) and three other alleged N33.2 billion fraud in the High Court of the Federal Capital Region (FCT).

Dasuki was charged with a former General Manager of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Aminu Baba-Kusa and two companies, Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.

The defendant’s re-presentation followed the re-assignment of the case by the Chief Judge of FCT, Judge Hussein Baba-Yusuf, who previously handled the problem.

Dasuki was first charged for the accusations of 19-Calculation of Fraud with the former Director of Finance and Administration, National Security Advisory Office (ONSA), Shuibu Salisu, before the Baba-Yusuf judge on December 14, 2015.

The accusation was more than the alleged fraud N15.5 billion and was then changed by the prosecution because the name Salisu was handed down from the accusation.

On May 11, 2018, Dasuki and the others were re-regulated with 32 accusations of criminal violations of criminal confidence, dishonest release and receiving a variety of money with N33.2 billion tones.

The prosecutor only summoned one witness, an investigation officer from the alleged cleaning weapons, and had not yet concluded the evidence when the case was postponed by Sine dead.

The Commission in 2015 proposed two cases that separate Dasuki.

They were charged with accusations of 25 calculations of violations of trust in trust and misuse of public funds up to N19.4 billion

This case was transferred to Judge Yusuf Halilu by Judge Baba-Yusuf.

When the case appeared before Chief Justice Charles Agbaza on Tuesday, the defendants submitted a new request to be innocent for 32 accusations that were preferred for them.

The prosecution advisor, Oluwaleke Atolagbe, asked the court to choose the date to begin.

The judge postponed this problem until July 1 to be tried.
