Ekerette Udom joins Spanish side Villarreal from Rivers United

Spanish club Villarreal CF B have signed Nigerian defender Ekerette Udom from Rivers United.

The 21-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Spanish side, with the option to extend it for a further year.

Udom, who previously played for Vandrezzer FC, Nasarawa United and Sunshine Stars, will be looking to make an impact at Villarreal CF B and potentially earn promotion to the first team.

He will hope to follow in the footsteps of fellow Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze, who rose through the ranks at Villarreal before securing a move to AC Milan.

With his experience in the Nigerian league, Udom will look to make a strong impression on Spanish football.
