The north-eastern area of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), including Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, YouBe and Taraba State Chapters, joined other states in approaching its president in office, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo for the re-election in view of his national elective congress scheduled for 19-21 September.
The Nycn presidents forum in the north-eastern area in a press release made available to journalists on Tuesday after the meeting in Yola, in the state of Adamawa, said he had notified the relevant authorities of federal and state governments, while lifting their support to guarantee the successful conduct of the elective national congress.
The press release was signed by Comr. Soyonga Race Nongha, President, Forum of the North-Eastern Presidential Presidents of Nycn/President, state chapter of Taraba di Nycn, Comr. They said the choice of Amb. The young leaders noticed that Sukubo’s ability to build and maintain strong relationships, unite young people and articulate their needs and concerns made him earn a wide recognition and admiration among the young Nigerians.
According to north-eastern youth leaders, “Sukubo’s exceptional communication skills, sensitivity, politics with open doors and flexibility have allowed him to effectively mobilize the support for beneficial initiatives for the youth population”.

The north-eastern youth leaders stressed that the re-election of Sukubo would not only guarantee continuity, but also a lasting inheritance that would have further modeled the future of the Nigerian young people for the construction of the nation.
They appealed to the Ministry of Development of Youth, the Senior Special Assistant Office at the President for the initiative, delivery and monitoring of young people, as well as state governments in the north-eastern geo-political area, to support Amb’s candidacy.
