EMARS, EMARS based in Glasgow, redefines music with the sound of the genre

A composer and musical and performer interpreter based in Glasgow Nigeriano, Adekanle Taiwo Emmanuel, popularly known as EMAR, is constantly carved a niche in the global music scene with its experimental and challenging sound of the genre.

EMARS, who started his musical journey as a child -child, became a prodigious singer -songwriter and improviser, mixing traditional African rhythms with environmental electronics, jazz infusions and contemporary sound landscapes. His style, the critics say, is difficult to be inscribed in any conventional category.

“What makes Emars fascinating is that you cannot position a finger on its exact genre. Fuses more elements in a sound that evolves in front of the ears.

“His performances concern the repetition and the more the creation at the moment,” a fan said with his profession on the platform Times stage.

Unlike many traditional acts defined by a particular genre, EMARS thrives on spontaneity and improvisation.

His live performances, often focused on themes of faith, love and hope, have been described as full of feeling, spiritual and profoundly personal, who have listened to an essay or a monk who sings with sincere conviction.

Despite his increasing international profile, the artist has not yet published a great corpus of recorded works.

However, EMARS has announced his intention to abandon his first extended game (EP) in March 2026, a project that many foreseen will finally translate his live magic into a permanent recording.

Music enthusiasts are now asking if an artist without fidelity to a specific genre can enter the traditional recognition and win prizes in a sector that thrives on categorization.

For Emars, however, the journey seems to be more in the creation of timeless experiences than in adapting to the boxes in the sector. “His music is a process of evolution in real time. This is what makes it special,” observed another follower.

While the anticipation is based for its next EP, the world waits to see to what extent the unconventional art of Emars will bring it.
