Engr. Joseph urges FCT residents, others to participate in Kuga 2025

… while the organizers reveal the game ambassador

Abuja (Core reporter) in the role of the Maiden Edition of the Kingdom Unity Games Abuja (Kuga) 2025 Cuckons, the engineer Ciroma Joseph invited the residents of the territory of the federal capital, Abuja, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi and other neighboring states to go out and participate completely in the event.

Kingdom Unity Games Abuja, otherwise known as (Kuga2025) is an innovative tournament aims to encourage unity and company among Christians of different denominations in the territory of the federal capital (FCT) and its surroundings through competitive sports. The event emphasizes the construction of peace, discipline, spiritual growth and youth development.

However, the organizers of Kuga 2025 officially announced the engineer Ciroma Joseph as the game ambassador.

While talking to the official confirmation ceremony held in Abuja on Thursday 28 August, Eng. Ciroma deeply expressed appreciation for the honor he granted him.

“I am really honored to be associated with the games of the Unit of the Kingdom of 2025,” he said, “although my background is in engineering and in the sector of power, I have always supported the unity, peace and development of young people. Sport is one of the most powerful tools to achieve these objectives. This event is more than only competition, it is only to promote peace, regardless of ethnicity, religion or landscape.

Engr. Ciroma, an international chess player and former secretary of Nigerian Nepa Chess Association, recalled his experiences of organizing chess tournaments that have brought together people from the whole sector of power. According to him, these events demonstrate how sport can transcend barriers and encourage a sense of shared identity.

“Even if I come from an engineering background, I have always been passionate about sports and empowerment of young people. We have gone from analog age to a digital era and it is important that our young people grow up with the times. Unity games provide a platform to express themselves positively, build discipline and find a purpose.”

The Kingdom Unity Games, with three sporting events; Football, baskeball and volleyball will take place from 6 to 13 September 2025, in the main bowl of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

The ambassador of the Kuga 2025, Engr. The Ciroma, however, used the opportunity to invite the residents and the surroundings of FCT; Young people, leaders, elderly people, religious groups and communities, to be part of this historical event. Saying: “This is the first edition and the way we start will determine the future of the games. I will personally check my network to make sure you have a strong turnout for opening, closing and all events in the middle.”

Facing the role of the government, Eng. Ciroma underlined the importance of the continuous support of public institutions.

“No initiative of this scale can be successful without a support environment. The role of the government is crucial: security, logistics, infrastructure and funding are fundamental. Congruing the current administration of the predictor of Bola Ahmed Tininu for his recent support and the lifting of sports and encourage federal and local governments.

Speaking also at the ceremony, the ambassador Solomon Omonokhua, converse of the Kuga 2025 and representative of the Kingdom Star Sports International Foundation, described the event as a courageous step towards the discovery and nutrition of young athletic talents within the church communities through the FCT and beyond.

“Our goal is to identify the young equipped athletes who could otherwise go unnoticed,” said Omonokhua. “Through this platform, we want to provide them with exposure and opportunities to be explored by the agencies of local and international talents.”

In collaboration with Celebrity Sports Magazine, the games aim to establish a sustainable sports platform that connects young people to professional paths by promoting peace and unity.

The Ambassador Omonokhua said: “Although Kuga is rooted in the Christian community, the games welcome the participants of all faiths: Christians, Muslims and others. It is a platform to encourage national unity, peace and youth commitment through sport”.

The Ambassador Omonokhua concluded by reaffirming the commitment of the organizational team to offer a world -class sports experience that merges faith, fun and future construction for young people.
