Prominent Nigerians, including former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Chief Don Etiebet, CON, former Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, CON, Managing Director of Emadeb Energy Services Limited, Mr. Adebowale Olujimi and a South African businessman and founder of Homebaze African Cuisine in Sandton City, Johannesburg, Mr. Kenneth Ayere, have showered praise on the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of THE CONCLAVE, Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Others who congratulated Mr. Ojeifo were the state organizing secretary of the Popular Democratic Party [PDP] in Edo State, Mr. Tony Anenih, Jnr; a former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Architect Yomi Awoniyi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume; a former Senator who represented Edo South in the Senate (2011-2019), Ehigie-Edobor Uzamere, the Oragun of Oke Ila, Oba Dokun Abolarin, and the former Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Oma Djeba.
The list also included a manager of Addax Petroleum, Mr. Blessyn Okpowvo, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of THISNIGERIA newspaper, Mr. Eric Osagie, an EFCC Director, Mr. Osita Nwajah, Publisher of THE WHISTLER newspaper, Mr. James Umeh (Junior James) and Secretary General of the Nigeria Guild of
Editors: Iyobosa Uwugiaren (PhD), President of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), Maureen Chigbo.
The list is endless. Every well-wisher has said one good thing or another about the birthday boy. The most meaningful tribute, perhaps, came from an elder statesman and Atuekong Annang, Chief Etiebet. Read it: “Good morning, my dear Sufuyan Ojeifo, I send you this message to congratulate you and wish you a very happy birthday. You have been the epitome of what journalists should be since I met you in the 1990s: truthful, incisive, courageous, humble, informative and friendly without strings attached. May God bless you with good health and strength to celebrate many more very happy birthdays. With warmest regards to the family.”

Former Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Agba, prayed for long life and good health for Mr. Ojeifo, while the Managing Director of Emadeb Energy Services Limited, Mr. Olujimi, described the celebrant as a determined man, whose passion for journalism and the promotion of good governance and the betterment of the human condition is evident.

Mr Tony Anenih, Jnr wrote: “Happy belated birthday, Ojeifo. May the good Lord continue to shower his blessings upon you. I also take this opportunity to thank you for your kind words about my father in your article. God bless you.”
A former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Architect Yomi Awoniyi, whose father was also mentioned in the piece I wrote titled: “I Saw the Goodness of God: Godiya”, wrote: “Happy Birthday to you, OJ. I wish you many more years of peace, joy and happiness. May God Almighty be with you to the sixth floor and beyond. Amen.”
Oragun of Oke Ila, Oba Abolarin, prayed enthusiastically for the good health of Mr. Ojeifo and his passion for journalism, which he always exercised with distinction.
Mr. Ayere wrote: “Happy birthday to a wonderful gentleman. You represent all that is positive. May the Almighty grant you more smiles in the decades to come. May He bless you with a long life of good health. Amen.”
The central theme of the greetings was prayers for a long life for Mr. Ojeifo and encouragement to redouble his journalistic commitment for good governance in Nigeria.
