Etiebet praises Akpabio’s approval of the governor Akwa-Ibom for the second term

● He says that the gesture exemplifies the new chapter in party policy in Nigeria

In an evident mutual gesture, the president of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, approved the offer of re -election of the governor of the state of Akwa Ibom, Umbo Pastore Eno.

The development has followed closely in the wake of Eno’s support and the approval of the offer of the second mandate of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

It has been reported that Akpabio, who ruled the state of Akwa Ibom for eight years from 2007 to 2015, dismantled Inter-Party inhibitions, throwing his weight behind the second term of Eno in charge.

In a quick reply, an elderly statesman and former petroleum resource minister, the head Don Obot Etiebet, with, praised the sponsorships to the transverse party, describing them as an exemplification of a new chapter in the party policy in Nigeria.

In a declaration sent to the Conclave, Etiebet, which holds the traditional title of Auekong Anang in the state of Akwa Ibom, said: “This is a new great development in today’s Nigerian politics and I like how we graduate from the loyalty of the blind party to the delivery and performance of the service”.

Etiebet State that, “His Excellency, Pastor Umbo Eno, Ph.D, A PdP Governor, Having Recogniz President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, an APC President for His Services to the Development of Akwa Ibom State, Has Been Apprecting The President, First with Confering On Him The Highest The Highest Traditional Title of the State, The “Atuekong Akwa Ibom” and Now Endorsing Him For Second Term in Office as president against the wishes of his PDP party, open a new chapter in party policy and in the governance in Nigeria and I love him.

“And in an immediate response, the President of the Senate, Senator (Dr.) Godswill Obot Akpabio, Gcon, leader of the APC in the state, also approved the Umbo Eno pastor, the governor of the PDP of the State for his second term.

“This is good news. Everyone in the state loves the Umbo Eno for his performances and non -partisan services in the state in all parties.

“These transversal sponsorships in the state by the two leaders of the state parties have restored all the Rancours parts in the state, opening the road to free elections, right and peaceful in the state.
