Ex-Hos Rivers accuses Fubara of Public Funds embezzlement

The former head of the Rivers State service, George Nwaeke, accused the administration of the governor Siminalayi smashing of embezzlement of on a large scale of public funds and activities.

Speaking to a briefing print on Saturday, Nwaeke described the alleged theft as a “stunning” and undertaken to provide evidence of the safety agencies when requested.

“I cannot also give all my tests to the media, some are sensitive. I will provide details to the adequate authorities when requested to me,” said Nwaeke.

The former HOS, which recently resigned from its position, has also said that the state has received its highest allocation ever in the last two years, but has witnessed the bad financial management unprecedented.

Nwaeke also said that Fubara directed his head of the staff, Edison Ehie, to burn the state of the state of the spinners. According to him, he was present in the government chamber when a lot of money was delivered to Ehie for the operation, although he could not verify the exact amount.

In response, Fubara rejected the accusations, insisting on the fact that Nwaeke had been “compromised” and had been “forced” to manufacture statements against his administration.

Meanwhile, Nwaeke’s wife Florence said that her husband had been kidnapped and forced to grant an interview on the political crisis in the state. However, in a video response, Nwaeke refuted the affirmation, stating that it was safe and had spoken voluntarily.

Facing the concerns about his wife’s statements, Nwaeke said: “My wife cannot speak for me on civil service issues when I am still healthy and mentally fit. It may have been threatened to speak”.

He criticized Fubara for not having faced his basic accusations, in particular the alleged plan to destroy the assembly complex.

“I am surprised that he never denied my accusations of breaking down the assembly, which was the main topic, rather than he was talking about other problems,” added Nwaeke.

The political crisis in the state of spars continues to deepen while the accusations and reconventional questions intensify between the key figures in the administration.
