Factor of the List of Northeast Governor which triggers insecure, registration solution

The Northeast Governor Forum has reiterated that the security and development challenges faced by this region can only be effectively handled through a multidimensional approach.

Speaking at the 12th Rotation Meeting forums in the State of Taraba on Saturday, the Governor of Babagana Zulum from Borno described education, health care, improvement of security architecture, and infrastructure development that were important for restoring peace and stability.

When praising the ongoing efforts of the Tinubu Bola President to end the rebellion, the governors emphasized that overcoming the root causes of instability – such as unemployment of young people, poor road networks, limited vocational and technical training, and insufficient poverty reduction initiatives – important.

They further urged the federal government to support this region by creating an environment that allows for local and foreign investment and encouraging the growth of small and medium companies.

“We must repeat our call for non-cinetic solutions for challenges. This involves overcoming the root causes by dealing with youth unemployment through improving technical and vocational education, increasing road networks, revitalizing agriculture, expanding poverty alleviation programs, and strengthening health and security care,” Zulum said.

He stressed the need for practical steps to attract investment and stimulate company development, also urged the formulation of strong mitigation strategies in accordance with the estimates of the Nigerian Meteorology Agency and the National Hydrology Service Agency.

Previously, the Governor of the State of Taraba, Dr. Agbu Kefas, asked the forum to suppress the Northeast Development Commission to accelerate the reconstruction of the Amai Bridge, which collapsed in August 2024, which caused the loss of lives.

The governor noted that the northeast continued to grant with a serious humanitarian and infrastructure deficit and reiterated their collective commitment to advance the development agenda in the region.
