“Family Over ”Fame”—Adekunle Gold shares a powerful message

Award-winning Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about his fatherhood journey, stating that no level of fame or success will come before his family.

In a heartfelt confession, the “Orente” singer said that becoming a father has changed his priorities, teaching him to value presence over popularity and purpose over pressure.

While speaking on a new episode of the NotJuskOk Podcast, which aired on Friday, Adekunle Gold reflected on how marriage and fatherhood changed his outlook on life.

She revealed that giving her daughter a better life than when she was little is her top priority. The artist went on to say that his commitment to being a responsible and present father was the inspiration for the song “My Love Is The Same.”

The musician said; “All I want is to do more for my own daughter because I wasn’t able to bring her into the life I lived growing up. It has to be so much better. My family is the center of it. I can afford to be a failed musician, not a failed father or man. That’s non-negotiable.”
