Farm. Anthony Ogbuja joins Nguru political forum and supports Owerri zone governorship agenda

High Chief, Pharm. Anthony Ogbuja, a Mbaise-born professional and businessman, has been inducted into the Nguru Political Forum in what observers have described as a strategic boost to the group’s political mobilization ahead of future contests in Imo State.

The induction took place on the sidelines of the Ituaka Nguru ceremony held last Saturday at the Nguru Center in Ekeoha, where members unanimously approved his membership.

The Chairman of the Forum, Hon Kachi Amuchie, while introducing Anthony Ogbuja at the gathering, said his entry into the political platform would add value to the collective aspiration of the clan, particularly in his advocacy of the emergence of a governor of Owerri extraction.

Amuchie noted that the forum remains steadfast in the pursuit of equity and fair political representation, stressing that the inclusion of established professionals and entrepreneurs would further strengthen its engagement strategy.

Anthony Ogbuja, a Lagos-based pharmacist and hospitality expert, was described as an industrious son of Nguru with long experience in humanitarian service and community support initiatives.

In his speech, the new member thanked the management and members of the forum for the trust placed in him, assuring his commitment to the objectives of the forum and willingness to contribute significantly to its programs.

Political observers say the move signals renewed efforts within Nguru to consolidate elite support as consultations intensify around the push for Owerri zone governorship amid talk of rotation of state power.

His installation followed a high recommendation from the President of Nguru Development Union, Dr AC Odunze.
