Fatoyinbo apologizes with CAC, says it is also the “disciple” of Baffalola

The Biodun Fatoyinbo shepherd, leader of the Commonwealth of Sion Assembly, apologized to the Apostolic Church of Christ (CAC).

He also withdrawn previous comments he made on the deceased apostle Joseph Ayo Baffalola.

In a widely shared video, Fatoyinbo had described Apostle Babalola as “greased … so greased” but he also said: “All grace went like this” because “he had no money”.

The CAC reacted strongly, saying that his words gave a wrong impression that ministerial success was linked to wealth.

The Church, in its declaration, said that it was wrong to measure spiritual power with material wealth.

By responding, Fatoyinbo issued a declaration admitting the concerns raised by the CAC and asking for forgiveness.

“Let me say, however, that at no time in the sermon I referred to the children of the deceased apostle and father of the faith in the bad light. I would never do it. The raw copy of the message is online and this can be verified,” he said.

“I would never want to take grace in any way about the apostle Babalola, his children or his ministry for granted or spoke slightly of the same,” he added.

He defined Apostle Baffalola as a “very revered father of faith” whose work had influenced many churches, including his. He also prayed that Baffalola’s legacy “continues to grow in giant steps”.

“I apologize if any other statement from me has caused any form of anguish, pain or discontent to the CAC, to the family of the deceased apostle Babalola or his collaborators. I will never miss or I will talk about it in that way either publicly or privately,” he said.

“Please this puts on the entire episode and pray that the CAC and the legacy of our father Apostle Joseph Ayo grow with giant steps,” he concluded.

In the sermon that caused the controversy, Fatoyinbo also spoke of a miraculous story linked to Babalola. “I was recently studying what the apostle Babalola did. I am about to be corrected. What God did through Smith Wigglesworth, if they had documented what God did in the life of that man (Babalola), people would come here for the pilgrimage. He was anointed. So grease. Greedy. Greedy. Grace with heavy grace, but no.

CAC’s response also observed: “In one of your trendy messages on YouTube, you recognized that the apostle Babalola was very greasy but” had no money “and then continued to ask sarcastically,” where are your children? “-A question that it was both insensitive and poorly informed. – Luke 12:15.
