Enugu, Nigeria-La Tragedia hit the center of Enugu of the playoffs during the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) as Ekenna Nnado, head of the Heartland FedS FC team, has undergone a partial stroke during official duty.
Nnado, the son of the legendary Nigerian coach Isaac Nnado, is a former professional footballer who appeared for high -level clubs including Iwuanyanwu Nationale (now Heartland FC), Rangers International and Eagle Cement. He also played alongside the Nigerian football icon Nwankwo Kanu before his promising career was interrupted by an injury.
The accident occurred during the playoffs, arousing immediate medical care. Nnado was brought to the Johnbone Hospital in Enugu, where he is currently receiving care.
Thanks to the rapid intervention of the Commissioner for Sport, Hon Obinna Onyeocha who instructed the officials of the Akwa team, where the team is playing to make sure he has received urgent care and the skills of the hospital’s medical director, the Nnado conditions are now established. Since then he has been transferred to Owerri for continuous recovery.
