FG reiterates the commitment to the public and private partnership in healthcare

Abuja (basic reporter) The Federal Government reiterated its commitment to strengthen public-private partnerships (PPP) in the health sector, in line with the renewal program of the renewal of the health sector of Nigeria and the renewed hope program of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This commitment was reaffirmed during an official visit of the honorable Minister of State for health and social well -being, dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, for Everight Diagnostic and Laboratory Services Ltd. in Abuja. The visit marks a clear demonstration of national inclusion and strategic commitment with the main actors in the private sector.

Dr. Salako praised the laboratory for its innovation, resilience and significant contribution to the reduction of the escape of medical brains by offering opportunities to Nigerian professionals to thrive at home.

“I am struck by what you built here. Taken vision, perseverance and collaboration,” said the minister. “This is the type of model that the government encourages where the private sector grows and contributes significantly to national health development.”

He urged Nigerian medical professionals to believe in the possibilities within the country, adding that those who choose to remain and build local institutions are helping to model a stronger future for the Nigeria health system.

“When you leave your country, it doesn’t matter how much you try, it is unlikely that you are the number one. But here you can create value, build systems and drive to stirus,” he underlined.

By welcoming the minister, President/CEO Everight Diagnostics Dr. Everest Okpara expressed gratitude for recognition and support. They underlined their mission to reduce capital escape through quality diagnostic services and strategic partnerships within Nigeria.

“Your visit is a great push to morality for us. It means that our efforts are seen and appreciated,” said the CEO. “We are working to reduce the over $ 2 billion lost every year due to medical tourism and the advanced laboratory tests abroad.”

The visit laid the foundations for a deeper collaboration between Everight Diagnostics and the Federal Ministry of Health, since both sides have committed themselves to exploiting the PPP models to guide excellence, innovation and sustainability in the delivery of health care.

The visit of Dr. Salako is widely seen as a sign of the gravity of the current administration in supporting indigenous health solutions and exploiting the potential of the private sector of Nigeria to advance the universal health coverage.

The structures visited by the minister include: Histopathology and cytology laboratory.

Radiological Department (Mri and Scan CT), X -rays and ultrasound and clinical laboratory.
