The Federation account allocation committee (FAAC), in its July 2025 meeting, shared a total sum of N1,818 trillion at the three levels of government as an allocation of the Federation for the month of June 2025 by a gross total of N4,232 trillion.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Manga, states in a declaration that by the declared amount inclusive of gross legal revenues, value added taxes (VAT), electronic withdrawal for money transfer (EMTL), differences in exchange and N100,000 of billions of billions of billion local billions. From the declared amount, the sum of N134.444 billion has been assigned for the cost of the collection and a total sum of N2,231 trillion of N2,231 for transfers, interventions and reimbursements.
The remaining balance of N1.018 trillion was distributed as follows at the three levels of the government: the federal government obtained the sum of N474.455 billion, the States received N240,650 billion, the sum of N185,531 billion has been assigned.
In addition, the sum of N30,380 billion from the electronic withdrawal of money transfer (EMTL) was distributed to the three (3) Government levels as follows: the federal government received N4,375 billion, the States obtained N14.582 billion, the local government’s advice received N10,208 billion, while N1,215 billion was removed from the collection cost.
The Faac press release also mentioned the sum of N38,849 billion from the difference in exchange that was distributed at the three levels of the government as follows: the federal government obtained n19,147 billion, the state received N9,712 billion, the LGC obtained N7,487 billion, while the oil producers received N2,503 billion.
In addition, an increase in n100,000 billion from non -mineral revenues was shared accordingly: the federal government has obtained N52.680 billion in N52.680 billion, the states received the sum of N26.720 billion, while the local government’s advice obtained n20,600 billion.
The income tax of companies, (cit), the tax on oil profit (PPT) and the electronic withdrawal withdrawal (EMTL) have increased significantly, while the value added tax (VAT), oil royalty and gas, the duty to import, excise duties and programs of the CET have decreased considerably.
