FIRS confirmed the death of 4 staff in Afrilland Towers Inferno

Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has confirmed the death of four of its workers in Tuesday’s fire in Afrilland Towers on Broad Street, Lagos Island.

The media aide for the executive chairman of the FIRS, Dare Adekanmbi, confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

He registered the victims as Ekelikhostse George (Assistant Director), David Sunday-Jatto (Assistant Director), Nkem Onyemukwe (Senior Manager), and Peter IfaranMaye (Manager).

Adekanmbi said the deceased worked at the FIRS office on the sixth and seventh floors when the incident occurred.

“Management and all staff are very surprised and sad to develop. We express our condolences to the grieving families and will provide all the support needed during this experiment,” he added.
