Former defence spokesperson Onyeuko is dead – Blueprint Newspapers Limited

A former military spokesperson, Major-General Bernard Onyeuko (retd), has died.

A military source said the retired general died on Saturday morning after a brief illness.

“After complaining of cold and was rushed to a private hospital where he died,” he said.

General Onyeuko who retired from the Nigerian Army after the recent appointment of new service chiefs was a former Director, Defence Media Operations.

His demise was yet to be confirmed by his family.

Until his retirement, he was director of procurement at the Defence Headquarters DHQ
