“Former Governor of Deputy Olusola-as excessive members, no one is overwhelmed by his solution,” Ekiti PDP stated

The Democratic Party Spokesman (PDP) of the People in Ekiti State, Jackson Adebayo, stated on Friday that the party was not worried about the resignation of the Governor Candidate in the 2018 Election, Kolapo Olusola-Eleka.

Olusola-Eleka, who served as Deputy Governor during the administration of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, left the party on Thursday.

In a letter dated July 24 and addressed to the Chairperson of the PDP in Okeruku Ward 2, Ikere-Ekiti, the region of the Ikere Regional Government in the state, Mr. Ilsanmi Emmanuel, a former governor who did not have a dependency, expressed disappointment over the current party’s direction, which he said no longer reflects the ideals of his establishment.

Adebayo, in his reaction, said that the party would not miss Olusola-Eleka.

He said: “We will enjoy relative peace at the party with his exit; we will not miss it.

“We are happier because the party will enjoy his peace without obstacles.

“The former deputy governor has been an excessive party member for the past three years. The party has moved.”

The spokesman revealed that several party members in the Olusola-Eleka ward in Ikere-Ekiti celebrated the out of the party.

He stressed that the resignation of the candidate for the former Governor had no implications for the party because his leadership would present a strong power in the future governor election in the state.

“When a party member feels that his interest cannot be fulfilled, such members will leave his party and go to another party to actualize his wishes,” Adebayo said.
